The Campbell-Lange Workshop develops large web applications and numerous small system administration utilities.

Software Pedigree

The Campbell-Lange Workshop began software development almost 7 years ago, when we designed Hopkins Architects' timesheet and future resourcing system, which is still in active use. Since then the company has become adept at developing large web-based solutions, largely based on an open-source software stack based on Postgresql, Python or PHP, and hosted on Debian Linux.

We have developed a number of highly innovative services, many of them with SEA. These include "Sweet Talk" a system for connecting diabetic children to their paediatrician through text messaging, "StoryStore" and "IdeaBoard", two innovative web, email and text messaging-based projects for Orange R&D, and MyArtSpace, a major government-funded project allowing children to curate their own online galleries from objects found on art gallery and museum trips.

Current Releases

Our major current web application systems are CLWManage, an IT management solution, and CLWRota, a system for managing anaesthetics rotas.

In the first half of 2007 we launched an EU-wide energy calculation tool for assessing energy use in public buildings. The site was released in 16 languages.

CLWRota

ClWRota is in daily use at the Wythenshawe Hospital in South Manchester and has been started to be marketed to anaesthetics departments at large hospitals in the UK.
